8 large eggs-separated
1 cup sugar
3.4 cup cold water (add to yolks)
½ cup oil
3 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups plus 2 tbsp flour
¼ tsp cream of Tartar
4 tbsp cocoa
¼ cup sugar
¼ tsp baking soda
2 ½-3 tbsp hot water

Directions:
Directions:
Add cream of tartar to the egg whites and beat on high until stiff peaks form. Put in fridge. Beat egg yolks with sugar until lemon coloured and then add water and oil. Mix flour and baking powder and add to yolk mixture until well blended. Add vanilla. Fold in egg whites.

Pour ¾ of the batter into ungreased angel food pan (round or square). Mix cocoa, ¼ cup sugar,¼ tsp baking soda and 2 ½-3 tbsp hot water together with the remaining batter. Pour into pan.

Bake at 350 for 1 hour. Cool upside down before removing from pan.
