Ingredients:
1 pork roast and 1 beef roast, 5 lbs total meat
1 large onion, sliced
2 packages onion soup mix
3 cups water

Brown meat on all sides in oil, seasoning with salt and pepper or seasoning salt. Put in roasting pan or dutch oven and cover with sliced onions. Sprinkle with soup mix and pour 3 cups water over all. Cover tightly and roast 3 hours at 325.

Remove meat to platter to make gravy in roaster. Put cup flour and 1 cup cold water into a jar; cover and shake until blended. Pour into juices in roaster, stirring constantly. Boil gently for 1-2 minutes.
