½ cup granulated sugar
1¼ tsp. cinnamon
1 cup butter, softened
2½ cups sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2½ tbsp. water
5 cups flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
In medium bowl, mix ½ cup sugar and cinnamon; set aside. In large mixing bowl, combine butter and 2½ cups sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, vanilla and water, beat until fluffy. Add cream of tartar, baking soda and salt. Add flour 1 cup at a time until all flour added and the dough is mixed well. Shape dough by rounded tablespoonfuls; roll in cinnamon-sugar mixture. Place on cookie sheet and slightly flatten with hand. Bake at 350º for 9-10 minutes.
