Directions:
In an 8x8 dish, place a stick of butter and put in a preheated 350º oven to melt. Mix flour and baking powder. Stir in milk and sugar. Take hot dish and melted butter out of the oven and pour in batter. Spoon fruit and juices evenly over batter. Place in oven and bake until batter is lightly browned and has risen around the fruit, about 20-30 minutes. This can be made with frozen berries but reduce the sugar to 2/3 cup.

Personal Notes:
This recipe is from Candy Linn, my good friend Cindy Allen's sister. It is so easy in the summer when you have fresh fruit. I usually make it with blackberries or peaches. When I use peaches, I add about a tsp of cinnamon to the batter.
