Grandma Carol

1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 cloved minced garlic
1 - 16 oz. can diced tomatoes
2 - 6 oz. cans tomato paste
10 oz. pkg. wide lasagna noodles
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
3 beaten eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1 lb. grated mozzarella cheese
3 cups cottage cheese
1/4 tsp. pepper

Brown meat, add garlic and season. Add diced tomatoes and tomato paste. Add seasonings, oregno, basil, salt if needed. Add a little sugar, to taste. Simmer uncovered for 30 minutes.

Cook noodles, drain.

Combine cottage cheese, parmesan cheese, eggs, salt and pepper in a bowl. Shred mozzarella cheese; set aside.

In a 9 x 13 pan, place 3 cooked noodles (so it covers bottom). Spread half of cottage cheese mixture, half of mozzarella and half of meat sauce. Spread 3 noodles. Repeat layers and end with meat.

Bake 375 for 30 minutes, covered. Let set about 15 minutes before serving.
