Ingredients:  
1 C butter
2 C sugar
5 eggs, separated
⅛ tsp salt
tsp vanilla
unbaked 8" pie shell
⅓ C sugar

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cream butter until soft and smooth; add 2 C sugar gradually and blend thoroughly. Add egg yolks and beat well. Fold in 2 egg whites beaten until stiff with salt and vanilla.

2. Turn into unpricked pie crust and bake on 425 for 12 minutes. Decrease heat to 300 and bake about 20 minutes longer.
