3 to 4 strips of bacon
1 medium onion, chopped
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 lb. ground pork
salt & pepper to taste
2 cans tomato soup (1/2 can for meat mixture and rest for sauce)
1 head cabbage
1 and 1/2 cups cooked white rice
1 Tbsp. vinegar

Dice bacon and brown in pan. Sauté onion in grease. Add the ground beef and ground pork, salt and pepper. Cook until no longer pink. Drain excess grease. Add 1/2 can tomato soup and 1 to 2 cups cooked rice.(Cook rice according to package directions ahead of time). Mix meat and rice but don't over mix .

Heat large pot of salted water to boiling with the vinegar. Place whole head of cabbage in and boil 3 to 5 minutes. or until soft enough to pull off individual leaves. When cool enough to handle, cut away about 2 inches of the thick stem, leaving whole leaves. (18).

Fill each leaf in center with about 1/4 cup of meat mixture. Flip right side to the center , then flip the left over. Fold ends up. Place seam side down in baking dish. Pour tomato soup mixed with about 1/4 c water over the rolls.

Bake at 350º for about an hour and a half.
