1 1/2 cups AP flour
1 3/4 teas baking powder
1/2 teas salt
1/2 teas nutmeg
1/3 c white sugar
1/3 c shortening
1 egg well beaten
1/4 c milk
3/4 c grated apple

Directions:
Directions:

Blend the dry ingredients together, cut in the shortening until it’s slightly crumbly. Add the egg and milk. Fold in the apple. Distribute into mini muffin tins and bake at 350 about 25 minutes.
Melt 1/2 c butter in a deep dish, and have ready when the donuts are done in the oven.
Blend 1/2 c sugar and 1 teas cinnamon in another deep bowl.
Dip the warm donuts in the butter, then coat with sugar/cinnamon mixture.
Leave on a rack to cool.
