1 pound mild sausage
½ medium yellow onion, minced
½ stick butter
1 cup milk
1 package cream cheese, cut into small cubes
1 small package finely shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 prepared pie crust, remove from fridge and allow to warm to room temperature
--Brown sausage in a large pan, break up sausage into small pieces as it browns
--While sausage is browning, place pie crust in pie pan and set aside
--Remove sausage to a small bowl
--Discard all but about 1 tablespoon of the fat from the pan
--Saute onion in butter and sausage fat until lightly browned, scrape pan well to remove browned sausage bits for flavor
--Add milk to onion and heat until it just starts to boil, stir continuously to prevent milk from scorching, remove from heat
--Add in cream cheese and stir to mix well until cheese is melted
--In a large bowl, add eggs, cheddar cheese, salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce, mix well.
--Stir sausage into egg mix then add onion mixture and mix well.
--Pour mixture into piecrust
--Bake in a 375ºF oven for 30 minutes or until lightly browned on top.
