1/4 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup dairy sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 cups walnuts, coarsely chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in heavy 2-quart saucepan. Add sugars, salt and sour cream. Cook over low heat, stirring until sugar dissolved. Cover and boil slowly 5 minutes.

Uncover and cook rapidly, without stirring; until mixture forms a softball, 228º. Remove from heat and cook to lukewarm, without stirring.

Add vanilla; beat until mixture is creamy and begins to hold its shape. Stir in nuts. Quickly drop by tablespoonsful onto waxed paper or spread in buttered 8-inch square pan.
