2 lbs. beef strips
2 Tbsp. olive oil
1 cup water
¼ cup soy sauce
2 tsp. sugar
Salt and pepper to taste
2 cloves garlic
3 carrots, shredded
2 green peppers, chopped
8 green onions, chopped
1/2 lb. mushrooms
1 can water chestnuts
1-2 broccoli, head and stalk
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
¼ cup water

Directions:
Directions:
Brown beef strips in frying pan. Mix oil, water, soy sauce, sugar, salt + pepper and garlic together and pour into pan. Add vegetables to pan. Cover pan with lid and cook on low to medium heat until vegetables are tender. Lastly, mix cornstarch and water together and add to the pan to thicken. Serve with fried rice.
 

Fried Rice

3 cups cooked rice
2 beaten eggs
Salt to taste
1 Tbsp. oil
6 green onions, chopped
¾ cups water chestnuts
½ cup green peas
Dash sugar
Dash garlic powder
3 Tbsp. soy sauce

Cook and scramble eggs in frying pan. Remove from pan. In same pan, sauté green onions, water chestnuts and peas in olive oil. Place eggs back in pan and add in dash of sugar and garlic powder. Add rice and soy sauce to mixture. Serve with oriental beef.
