1 pkg active dry yeast
1/2 cup warm water
1 3/4 cup milk
2 T sugar
1 T salt
3 T shortening
5 1/2 to 6 1/2 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Measure warm water into a warm bowl and add yeast. Add milk, sugar, salt and shortening. Stir and add 2 cups flour. Beat until well blended. Add 1 more cup of flour and beat 150 strokes. Add all other ingredients.

Knead the dough for 5 minutes, rise on board and cover with plastic for 20 minutes. Punch dough down and make into loaves. Cover with wax paper and plastic.

Put into the refrigerator. Take out at your convenience any time from 2 to 24 hours and immediately bake at 400º for 35 minutes.
