2 Tblsp margarine
1 small onion, chopped
1 stalk celery and leaves, chopped
3 C boiling water
3 beef bouillon cubes
1 med potato, peeled and diced
1 carrot, peeled and diced.
1 can tomatoes with juice
1/2 can green beans
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp basil
1 tsp sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Saute onion and celery in melted butter in a dutch oven.
Dissolve the bouillon cubes in the boiling water
Add beef bouillon, vegetables and spices to sauteed onion and celery.
Simmer, uncovered, until vegetables are tender - about 15 minutes
Check and correct seasonings to taste. Add more liquid if desired.
