Batter:
Sugar 3/4 cup
Flour 1 cup
Cocoa 3 tbsp
Baking Powder 2 tsp
Salt 1/4 tsp
Milk 1/2 cup
Butter or margarine 1/3 cup
Vanilla 1 1/2 tsp

Sprinkle over Top:
Sugar 1/2 cup
Brown sugar 1/2 cup
Cocoa 4 tbsp

Pour 1 1/4 cup hot water over top, do not stir

Directions:

Preheat over to 350º
Mix all batter ingredients. Beat until smooth.
Pour batter into ungreased square pan (I use 8x8 pans)
Sprinkle top mixture over batter in pan
Pour hot water over - do not stir
Bake 35-40 minutes, until center is almost set - don't let it overcook
Remove from oven and let stand 15 minutes
Serve with whipped cream or cool whip
