Personal Notes:
This recipe was in Meyrle Gilman's recipe box. From Marie Dean, Madison, Wiconsin in 1953.

Lloyd Gilman and family went to Madisonfor a year to study surgery at The Jackson Clinic. He missed doing a residency due to WWII. We lived there for a year at Sherman Terrace. He also learned to make pizza there.

My first memories are from Madison. My mother sitting in th corridor kitchen knitting our Christmas stockings. Playing Scrabble on a makeshift table on a clothin barrel. Building Byron's boxkite and seeing it crash on the first flight. My sister weeping when her hampster died aftermom cleaned the cage with bleach. My sister did not know that the was the reason for 40 years.
