6 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. shortening
6 T. Baking Powder
2 1/4 c. water

Mix together and roll out into squares.

** Sweet Sour Sauce for Apple Dumplings (Advertiser)

2 c. water
1/3 c. vinegar
1/3 c. flour
1/3 c. oleo
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. nutmeg

Heat water, vinegar, oleo. Combine remaining ingredients. Mix thorougly. Stir into hot mixture. Cook over low heat stirring until thickened. Pour over warm apple dumplings.

The dough recipe says "thanks Mom". It doesn't say anything about the apples/preparation or oven temperature or time to bake. I guess they just knew. We need to figure that out.
