German Potato Salad Recipe

2 TBSP flour
1/2 cup vinegar (scant)
1 TBSP butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 tsp salt
6 slices bacon
thinly sliced onion

Directions:
Directions:
Fry bacon until crisp, remove from pan. Remove grease from pan except for 2-3 TBSP bacon fat. Add sliced onion and cook until translucent. Add butter, sugar, salt, water and vinegar, mix well, blend in flour and stir until smooth. Cook until well blended and thickened, a couple of minutes. Pour over warm sliced potatoes which have been salted. Carefully blend sauce and bacon with potatoes.
