Grandmother Wagner


c. chopped onion
1 Tbsp. parsley
2 Tbsp. margarine
2 Tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
tsp. pepper
tsp. lemon peel
1 c. sour cream
5 c. green beans (3 - 4 cans)
c. grated cheese
2 Tbsp. butter
c. bread crumbs

Saute onion in margarine.

Mix together flour, salt, pepper and lemon peel. Whisk into sauteed onion.

Add sour cream and stir well.

Add green beans. Heat slowly and stir.

Place in 9 x 13" baking dish, sprinkle with cheese and bread crumbs. Dot with butter.

Bake uncovered 350 for 20-30 minutes.
