• 1 unbaked deep dish 9-inch pie shell
• 1 1/2 cups pecan halves
• 1/2 cup butter, melted
• 1 cup white sugar
• 1 cup light corn syrup
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 3 large eggs, whisked plus 2 extra egg yolks



Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2. Mix melted butter, white sugar, corn syrup, and vanilla extract together.
3. Whisk eggs in a large bowl. Slowly add egg mixture to sugar and butter mixture slowly, Make sure the butter mixture is not too hot before adding eggs, or you will cook the eggs.
4. Spread pecans out in the bottom of the crust. Pour sugar mixture over nuts and gently stir with a spatula to coat all of the nuts.
5. Bake pie in the preheated oven until crust is golden brown and pie is set, 40 to 45 minutes. Cool completely.
