48 Hershey Kisses milk chocolates
1/2 cup shortening
3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 and 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
Granulated sugar for rolling

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 375º and Remove wrappers from Hershey Kisses.
In a large bowl, beat shortening and peanut butter until well-blended.
Add 1/3 cup granulated sugar and brown sugar; beat until light and fluffy.
Add egg, milk, and vanilla; beat well.
Stir together flour, baking soda and salt. Gradually add to peanut butter mixture.
Shape dough into 1-inch balls and roll in granulated sugar and place on baking sheet.
Bake 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned.
Once out of oven, immediately place Hershey Kiss on top of each cookie.
Remove cookies from baking sheet to wire rack.
Cool completely.

Original recipe came from Aunt Karyn. Peanut Blossoms were another Christmas tradition of Mom's. She made great memories with her grandkids as they helped her unwrap the Hershey Kisses and place them on top of the cookies.
