1½ pounds sliced lean bacon
⅓ c pure maple syrup
1 t coarsely ground black pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º. Line two jelly roll pans with foil. Arrange bacon slices on racks in pans, overlapping the lean edge of each slice with the fat edge of the next. Brush with maple syrup and sprinkle evenly with pepper.

Place pans on 2 oven racks and bake bacon 25 minutes, rotating pans between upper and lower rack halfway through baking, until bacon is golden brown and crisp. Remove bacon to paper towels to drain.
