6-7 cups All Purpose Flour
½ cup Sugar
2 tsp Salt
2 pkgs Active Dry Yeast
1 cup Water
1 cup Milk
½ cup Butter
1 Egg

Directions:
Directions:
--In a large bowl, combine 2 cups flour, sugar, salt and yeast. Mix well.

--In a small saucepan, heat water, milk and butter to 120-130º F.

--Beat egg and add egg and liquid mix to flour mixture.

--Blend at slow speed until moistened then beat 3 minutes at medium speed.

--Stir in additional 3-5 cups flour is smooth and elastic (8-10 minutes by hand, less by Mixer with dough hook).

--Place dough in a greased bowl, cover loosely with plastic wrap and cloth towel.

--Let rise in a warm (80-85ºF) place until doubled in size (about 45-60 minutes).

--Punch down to remove all air bubbles.

--Divide dough in half.

--Shape and bake following appropriate recipe.

Note: After dough rises the first time, punch it down, you can then let it rest in refrigerator overnight. Remove from refrigerator, shape and let it rise again according to appropriate recipe.

Note: Rolls made with this recipe freeze well. Warm in the microwave before serving.
