For bottom of pan...….. 3 tbls. melted butter, 3 tbls. brown sugar, 1 cup chopped walnuts,

Cake batter.....…….. 2 tbls. butter, 1 cup of sugar, 1 egg separated, 2 squares melted bakers chocolate, 1 cup flour, 1 heaping tsp baking powder, pinch of salt, and ¾ cup of milk

Mix the butter ,brown sugar, and nuts. Grease the pan so the cake will not stick. Put in the bottom of an angel food cake pan, I guess you could use a regular pan also. ................ Cream the butter and sugar, add 1 egg yolk,mix and add melted choclate, alternatley add dry ingredients with the milk. Fold in the stiffly beaten egg white.. . Spread the batter over the nuts and bake for 30 minutes at 350º until knife inserted comes out clean. While warm invert cake on a plate.

This is a very decadent cake. You could amp it up by serving whipped cream or vanilla ice cream with it, but it can definitely stand alone! DELISH!
