1 cup flour, ½ cup salt, 2 tsp cream of tartar. 1 cup of water, and a 1 tbls. oil, food coloring

Directions:

Mix dry ingredients together in a saucepan, Add water and oil and cook over medium heat stirring constantly. Play dough is done when it is a large non- pasty ball. Remove from pan . Cool and knead the dough. Store in an air tight container.

When I was working in Clinton for the PCHP Program we would make play dough for 30 children. You can double the batch. I have even separated after cooking and added the food coloring to make more than one color. It doesn't seem to dry out as quickly as the store bought play dough. HAVE FUN!
