2 cups sugar
1 cup vinegar
1 tsp. celery seed
Small onion sliced thinly
Green or red pepper may be added, sliced thinly
2 quarts cucumbers
Pinch of salt and pepper
May add 1 tsp. mustard seed or yellow mustard

Directions:
Soak the sliced onion, peppers, and cucumbers in salt water for about 1 hour. Drain completely. Mix remaining ingredients and pour over the drained mixture,. Store in refrigerator.

Anna made these many times through the summer, and they were enjoyed by all. I love making these and even buy a few cucumbers in the winter and make a half of a batch. Just cut the recipe in half. Great with burgers!
