2 Cups flour
2 Teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
4 Tablespoons shortening (mom used butter)
¾ Cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Sift dry ingredients. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles course crumbs. Add milk slowly, mixing well with fork.
Roll out ½ inch thick. Cut out biscuits and bake on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 450º for 12 to 15 minutes.

SOUR MILK BISCUITS VARIATION

Substitute sour milk or buttermilk and add ¼ teaspoon baking soda.
