4 1/2 to 5 cups flour

1/2 cup sugar

1 teaspoon salt

2 pkg. dry yeast

3/4 cup milk

1/2 cup water

1/2 cup shortening

2 eggs at room temperature

MEAT MIXTURE:

1 lb hamburger

4 cups chopped cabbage

1 tsp. salt

1 chopped onion

4 tbsp butter

1/4 tsp. pepper

Measure 1 3/4 cup flour into a large mixing bowl. Stir in sugar, salt, yeast. Heat Milk, water and shortening until warm. Pour in flour mixture. Add eggs and beat with electric mixer at low speed for 1/2 minute. Continue beating for 3 more minutes at high speed. Stir in remaining flour. Knead about 3 minutes until smooth. Cover with plastic wrap and clean towel. Let rest 20 minutes then shape as desired. Roll dough very thin into 6-7 inch square.

Brown hamburger & onion. Wilt cabbage in butter and add to beef. Season with salt and pepper.

Place about 3 Tablespoon meat mixture into center of each square. Bring edges over filling and wrap, sealing edges. Place smooth side up on greased baking sheet. Let rise and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until brown.
