4 cups pinto beans, soaked overnight
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon cumin
2 bay leaves
2 fresh jalapeņos, with seeds
1/4 to 1/2 pound ham hock
4 tablespoons brown sugar
4 - 5 cloves garlic, crushed
Cilantro, half a bunch

Directions:

Rinse beans and cover with 2 inches of water. Cook with all ingredients until tender. Add salt. Let sit a while.
