1 lb Ground beef
1 28oz can Diced tomatoes
6 oz can Tomato paste
1 can Kidney beans
1 lg Onion - chopped
1 Green pepper - chopped (and optional)
2 cloves Garlic - minced (I put more)
2 tsp Salt
2 Tpsp Chili powder
3 Bay leafs

Brown the beef - drain and put it all together. (I drain the kidney beans and add them at the end - only because I always had to be home from school one hour before dinner on chili nights to add the kidney beans! But I don't think you have to do that.)

Aunt Dee gave me this recipe so the notes you see in the recipe are hers. I cut back on the chili powder to 1 tsp it was a little spicy for me.
