2 cups raisins
2 cups water
2 tbsp molasses
Cool -
add 2 tbsp soda to raisins mix
Add -
1 well beaten egg
2½ tbsp shortening
1 cup sugar
2½ tsp vanilla
2⅔ cups flour and pinch of salt
