15 to 18 vanilla wafers
1/3 c unsweetened cocoa powder
1/3 c sugar
7 T melted butter
3 (8oz) packages of cream cheese softened
1 (14oz) can sweetened condensed milk
12 oz semisweet chocolate chips melted
4 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla

PREHEAT OVEN TO 300*

PLACE VANILLA WAFERS BETWEEN 2 LAYERS OF WAXED PAPER. CRUSH WAFERS WITH A ROLLING PIN TO YIELD ABOUT 1 1/2 C CRUMBS. COMBINE CRUMBS, COCOA, SUGAR AND BUTTER IN MEDIUM BOWL AND MIX WELL. PRESS ONTO THE BOTTOM OF A 9" SPRING FORM PAN. BAKE CRUST FOR 10 MINUTES. MAINTAIN OVEN TEMPERATURE.

PLACE CREAM CHEESE IN A LARGE BOWL. BEAT WITH AN ELECTRIC MIXER SET AT THIGH SPEED UNTIL LIGHT AND FLUFFY

ADD CONDENSED MILK GRADUALLY TO CREAM CHEESE IN BOWL, BEATING WELL AFTER EACH ADDITION. ADD CHOCOLATE, EGGS AND VANILLA AND BEAT WELL. SPOON MIXTURE OVER THE BAKED LAYER.

BAKE CHEESECAKE UNTIL SET, ABOUT 65 MINUTES. COOL TO ROOM TEMPERATURE. CHILL 4 HOURS OR LONGER. LOOSEN CHESECAKE FROM SIDES OF PAN. REMOVE.
