1 lb of boneless stewing beef (1" cubes)
2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
3 cups water
3 medium potatoes (peeled and cubed)
3 medium carrots (peeled and cubed)
1 large onion (peeled and cut up)
2-3 tbsp. flour
1/4 cup water
2 tbsp. oil
1/2 cup frozen peas (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
In pot ground stewing beef in 2 tbsp. oil. Add 2 tsp. salt, 1/8 tsp. pepper and 3 cups of water. Cover tightly and simmer for 1 1/2 hours.

Add in all potatoes, carrots and onions. Cover and simmer for the last 20-30 mins or until vegetables are tender.

To thicken combine 2-3 tsp. flour in 1/4 cup water. Stir into simmering stew and serve.

Additions: You can add in 1/2 cup of frozen peas once all vegetables are tender and cook for 3-5 mins. Then thicken and serve with biscuits or hot rolls.
