5 cups sugar
2 T butter
1 T parafan wax
5 cups karo (white)
2 1/2 sheets raw gelatin (soaked in 1/2 cup water)

Directions:
Directions:
Cook sugar, Karo and butter to hardball. Soak gelatin in water and put it into the candy a little at a time before it reaches the hardball stage. At the same time add the wax. Cook to 245º.. Pour onto a buttered cookie pan and cool. Add the desired flavoring and color and stretch till light and then cut and wrap in waxed paper.
