3 eggs, beaten slightly
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. light corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 to 1 c. pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Mix eggs, sugar, corn syrup, and vanilla together and pour into unbaked pie shell. Place pecan meats on top to cover pie. Bake at 300º for 1 hour or until done. Also good using hickory nuts. This makes filling for 1 small pie.

This was Grandma Adams' recipe. She always placed the pecans precisely around the pie, not just scattered them.
