1 lb. mild/medium smoked sausage(sliced)Conecuh is best!
1 lb. Italian Sausage-remove from casing(bulk) hot or mild, you choose
3-4 pounds medium red potatoes, diced
1 small onion, diced
4 C. water
3 tbsp. ham base(or Goya ham seasoning)
1 qt. heavy whipping cream(Or any other milk like liquid)- I have used fat free half and half and it is good!
Salt/pepper to taste
Kale or spinach-kale is prettier and holds up better
Bacon, cooked and crumbled- if desired

Directions:
Brown Italian sausage in pan. Add sliced smoked sausage. At the same time, bring potatoes, onion, water, and Ham base to boil in soup pot. Cover and cook until potatoes are tender. Lightly mash potatoes- leave some chunks. Drain sausages and add to pot with potatoes. Add salt and pepper, to taste. Add cream/milk and kale/spinach and heat through, do not boil. You can sprinkle top with bacon if desired.
