1 cup shortening (I use butter)
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
2 cup flour
1 teaspoon soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups quick cooking oats
2 cups corn flakes
1 cup nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugars together.

Add eggs

Sift flour, baking powder, soda and salt together

Add to creamed mixture. Add Vanilla and Mix well.

Add remining ingredients and mix well.

Drop on greased cookie sheet.

Bake at 375º for about 10-12 minutes
