1 cup sliced onion
cup dark brown sugar
cup white sugar
1 cup water
cup cider vinegar
2 tart Apples (diced)
tsp. salt
1 tsp. fresh grated ginger
tsp. mace
tsp. curry powder,
grated rinds of two oranges.
One quart cranberries (1 pound)
cup currants or black raisins
Strained juice of 2 oranges.
Stir in Cranberries, currants or raisins and strained juice of 2 oranges. Boil slowly 10 minutes or until cranberries burst. Taste test and add more sugar if too sour. Should not be too sweet. Eat hot or cold.

Simmer onion, brown sugar, and white sugar dissolved in water for 30 minutes. Stir in cider vinegar, salt, ginger, mace, curry powder, orange rind. Simmer 30 minutes more.
Stir in Cranberries, currants or raisins and strained juice of 2 oranges. Boil slowly 10 minutes or until cranberries burst. Taste test and add more sugar if too sour. Should not be too sweet. Eat hot or cold.
