"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway

This recipe changes based on the number of cans of creamed corn you use. Iíve successfully made it with one to four cans. All you have to do is increase the ingredients to match the number of cans.

Ingredients required:
1 egg
1 can creamed corn
3 tbsp onion flakes
ľ tsp pepper
ľ tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt
Ĺ tsp season salt
30 Ritz Crackers (about 1 cup)
6 tsp butter pats

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350ļ

In a baking dish, mix the following ingredients:

Start by beating one egg, blend in the seasoning, then add the can of creamed corn and mix thoroughly. Break the Ritz crackers into pieces then mix into the corn. Place the pats of butter on the top of mixture and bake uncovered for 30 minutes.

The top of the corn should be a golden color and should be slightly crusty. If you donít have Ritz crackers, you can use any type of cracker you have around the house. Iíve used saltines, Club crackers, and Wheat Thins, they change the taste a little, but not much. In larger batches Iíve used several types crackers because I didnít have enough of one kind. No one has complained!
