1 cup flour
½ teaspoon salt
⅓ cup shortening
2 tablespoons water

Directions:

Mix flour, salt. Cut in shortening with pastry blender or two knives. Sprinkle with water. Mix with fork.
Round into ball. Roll out. Line pie pan, and flute edges.

For pies requiring a baked crust, pinch bottom with fork in numerous places so the crust won’t bubble. Back 10 minutes at 475°.

For pumpkin pie or pies that don't need pre-baked crust, do not prick bottom and do not bake crust before filling is added. Then bake according to pie directions.
