2 c. butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
6 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
4 tsp. cream of tartar

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, sugar and eggs. Mix dry ingredients and gradually add to cream mixture (mix well). Cover and put in refrigerator overnight or at least 1 hour. Roll to 1/4 inch and cut into any shape or size. Bake at 350º to 375º for no more than 5 minutes. Varies depending on thickness of dough. Cool and frost with any butter cream frosting.

Hint: Separate dough into 4 to 6 balls before putting in refrigerator. Cover each ball with waxed paper.

Make about 4-6 dozen cookies depending on size.
