6 c Sliced (thick) Apples (peeled & cored)
2 tsp Lemon Juice
1/3 c Brown Sugar (packed)
1/3 c Granulated Sugar
1/4 c All Purpose Flour
1/2 tsp or less Ground Cinnamon
1/4 tsp Ground Cardamom (optional)

Topping:
3 tbsp. Butter or Oleo
1/2 c Dry Unseasoned Bread Crumbs
1/8 tsp or dash of Ground Cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare: 6 c Sliced (thick) Apples (peeled & cored) with 2 tsp Lemon Juice. Combine brown sugar, granulated sugar, flour, cinnamon, & cardamom add to apple slices & lemon juice, stirring with apples until coated. Spoon into 2 Qt Casserole dish with buttered bottom and sides. Melt butter add the dry bread crumbs and cinnamon. Sprinkle topping crumbs over apples in the casserole dish. Bake at 350 º until apples are tender about 40 min or until apples are done. Serve plain or with ice cream. In Microwave oven at high for 10-14 min or until apples are tender in center. Turn Casserole over and let stand for 2 min after removing from oven. If topping doesn't get crispy in microwave, brown in oven or under broiler a couple minutes.

Good with a pork dish & scalloped potatoes & a salad
