1 CUP FLOUR
1/2 TSP SALT
1/4 CUP SHORTENING
2 TBSP BUTTER
1 TBSP WATER

FILLING:

1/2 CUP PACKED BROWN SUGAR
3/4 CUP DARK OR LIGHT KARO SYRUP
1 TBSP FLOUR
3 EGGS
1 TSP VANILLA
1/4 TSP SALT
1 CUP BROKEN PECANS

Directions:
PLACE PASTRY INGREDIENTS IN MIXING BOWL. BEAT AT LOW SPEED OF MIXER UNTIL PARTICLES ARE FINE. PRESS CRUMB MIXTURE EVENLY AND FIRMLY INTO 9 INCH PIE PAN.

COMBINE FILLING INGREDIENTS IN MIXING BOWL.

STIR IN PECANS. POUR INTO UNBAKED PIE SHELL.

BAKE AT 375 FOR 35-40 MINUTES OR UNTIL KNIFE INSERTED IN CENTER COMES OUT CLEAN.
