1/2 c. shortening
3/4 c. creamy peanut butter
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/3 c. packed light brown sugar
1 egg
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 3/4 c. (10 oz. pkg.) Hershey's mini kisses
additional granulated sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 375F.
Beat shortening and peanut butter until well blended.
Add 1 1/2 cups sugar and brown sugar; beat until fluffy.
Add egg, milk and vanilla; beat well.
Combine flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to peanut mixture, beating until well blended.
Shape dough into 1-inch balls.
Roll in granulated sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
Place 3 mini kisses on each cookie, pressing down lightly.
