1 c. Coca-Cola
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1 stick butter or margarine
3 T. cocoa
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1/2 t. salt
2 eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 t. baking soda
1 t. vanilla

Frosting:
1 stick butter
6 T. milk or cream
3 T. cocoa
1 t. vanilla
1 lb. powdered sugar
1/2 to 1 c. nuts

Preheat oven to 350º

In a bowl, mix sugar, flour and salt. Set aside. In a large saucepan, bring Coca Cola, oil, butter and cocoa to a boil. Pour flour mixture into boiling liquid and beat well. Add the eggs, buttermilk, soda and vanilla. Beat well. Pour into greased sheet cake pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes

Make frosting. In a saucepan, combine butter, cocoa and milk (I use evaporated milk). Heat until butter melts. Beat in powdered sugar and vanilla. Mix well. Spread over hot cake. Sprinkle with nuts or stir into frosting before putting it on cake.
