50 Kraft Caramels
2/3 c. evaporated milk
1 two-layer German chocolate cake mix with pudding
1/2 c. butter or margarine, melted
1 1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
1 c. (6 oz) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350º

In a saucepan over low heat, melt caramels with 1/3 c. of evaporated milk, stirring until smooth. Or melt in microwave.
Combine remaining milk, melted butter and cake mix in a bowl and mix well. Press half of cake mixture in a greased 13" x 9" pan. Bake for 6 minutes. Remove from oven. Sprinkle 1 cup of walnuts and the 1 c. of chocolate chips over crust. Top with caramel mixture, spreading to edges of pan. Top with teaspoonfuls of the remaining cake mixture. Press gently. Sprinkle with remaining nuts. Bake for 20 minutes. Cool slightly, then refrigerate for 30-45 minutes. Take out and cut into squares, then put back into fridge until completely cooled.
