1 1/2 c. butter, softened
1 1/4 c. granulated sugar
1 1/4 c. packed brown sugar
1 T. vanilla extract
2 eggs
4 c. all purpose flour
2 t. baking soda
1 t. salt
1 big package (24oz) semi sweet chocolate chips
1 to 1 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350º

Mix butter, sugars, vanilla and eggs in a large bowl. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop dough by rounded tablespoons (big cookies) or teaspoons (smaller cookies) on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 12-15 minutes for large cookies, or 8-10 minutes for small cookies.
Do not over bake.
