½ cup butter
2 eggs, beaten
½ cup shortening - butter flavor Crisco works well
1 cup sugar
½ cup brown sugar
3 cups flour
1 tsp salt
½ tsp baking soda
2 tsp vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and shortening.
Add sugars gradually.
Add beaten eggs and vanilla.
Combine flour, salt and soda and gradually add to creamed mixture
If mixture is hard to work with I sometimes chill it for a few minutes before adding to cookie press.
Fill cookie press 1/2 full and form designs on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 10-12 minutes at 375º. Check at 9 minutes in case your oven cooks faster.
