2 cups flour
1 tbsp. sugar/3 tbsp. maple syrup/2 tbsp. honey
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/2 cup shortening or butter
1 egg
2/3 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Mix ingredients in a large bowl. Do not overmix the batter. You will want some chunks of shortening or butter, as these will allow the biscuits to be flaky. Roll out on floured surface, to about 2/3 inch thickness. Cut and bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 425º for 10-14 minutes, or until nicely browned. Make sure they are done by breaking one in half and inspecting.
