1 16 oz. package dry black eyed peas
2 cups water
2 cups chicken broth
1 T. vegetable oil
1 ham hock
2 cups cubed ham
1 pinch of garlic powder
1 onion, sliced
1 14.5 oz. can stewed tomatoes, pureed
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Wash peas and place in crockpot. Add all other ingreadents and stir well. Cook 5 hours on high, two hours on low.
