Peanut Butter Kisses Recipe

1 c granulated sugar
1 c packed brown sugar
1 cup Crisco
1 cup peanut butter
2 eggs
1/2 c milk
2 tsp vanilla
3 1/2 c sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 (11 ounce) package milk chocolate Kisses

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Cream together granulated sugar, brown sugar, 1 cup shortening and peanut butter. Add eggs, milk and vanilla; beat well.

Stir together flour, baking soda, and salt; add to peanut butter mixture. Beat well. Shape into 1 inch balls, roll in additional granulated sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake for 8 minutes. Remove from oven. Press one Kiss chocolate candy into center of each warm cookie. Return to oven, bake 3 minutes longer.

Makes 6 to 7 dozen cookies.
